The cookies were very easy to make (yay!) and smelled really great while baking. I tossed the whoppers into a mini-prep to quick chop them but ended up with a lot of whopper crumbs along with the chopped pieces. Next time I may just do it by hand so that the cookies have more crunch to them.
Overall they were pretty decent. My husband really enjoyed them and I did like the toffee-texture that the whoppers took on while baking. I actually liked them better the next day :-)

they really do get better over time, don't they! i was surprised that it didn't really take all that much time to slice all the whoppers in half, by hand. it's worth the time, even though i'm always a fan of saving time wherever possible.
These cookies are really yummy, hon!
Ooh, thanks for mentioning the tip that they are better the day after! I love toffee and this sounds just up my alley :)
I made my whoppers a little too small as well. Oh well! That just means I have to make them again.
Thats what we said ! Kind of a toffee flavor! They look great!
Cute plate! I loved these cookies too!
Easy is always good, isn't it? Thank goodness for a lack of layer cakes!
I think I'd food process next time! I also think they were better the next day, this was a total make again soon recipe!!
I'm thinking I'd just cut them in half next time....I like the bigger chunks! I froze mine and they were great right out of the freezer!
They were so much better the next day!
Glad things have eased up so you can bake again. The cookies look great.
Just found your blog from your link at facebook -- I've been dabbling with a cooking related blog too. It was sporatic at best for over a year, but now I think I have it down to a routine!
I wish I knew how they tasted the next day. They didn't last that long. HAH! Thanks for making my pic.
Glad you have time to bake again! Yes, I thought they improved with time too.
